In English:
On September 21st, Porto Alegre witnessed a historic night for extreme metal. Bar Opinião was completely packed to host a devastating sequence of shows that would culminate in the performance of Krisiun. Before the climax of the evening, the crowd was set ablaze by two brutal forces: the locals Bestial and the Californians Contortion, who prepared the ground with sheer weight and intensity.
With the stage already on fire, anticipation only grew for the arrival of Malevolent Creation.
When the Americans took the stage, the response was immediate. Opening with “Eve of the Apocalypse”, the pits erupted and the crowd plunged into a whirlwind of collective fury. The devastation continued with blasts like “Infernal Desire”, delivering riffs that cut like sharp blades, and reached its peak with “Slaughter House”, when Opinião turned into a true battlefield.
The night was also marked by the absence of Phil Fasciana, the band’s founder and legendary guitarist, who was unable to travel due to health issues. Still, Malevolent Creation displayed their collective strength, turning each song into a frontal assault of brutality. It was a performance filled with grit, where every member gave their energy as if it were the band’s last night on earth.
If the band unleashed aggression, the audience returned it in kind. Between violent mosh pits, screams, and relentless chaos, the devotion of the Porto Alegre crowd turned the night into a memorable spectacle. Once again, the city proved why it is considered one of the great stages for extreme metal in Brazil.
What happened at Opinião was more than just a concert: it was a ritual of brotherhood and brutality. Malevolent Creation reaffirmed their legacy, while Bestial and Contortion showcased the strength of the underground scene, paving the way for Krisiun’s reign, which would close the night like a final avalanche.
